The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program
lets you experience the ease and thrill of scuba diving while under the
supervision of one of our highly experienced PADI Dive Instructors in pool or
pool-like conditions. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts
and scuba skills and then enjoy an underwater tour. You may even want to
continue the adventure by completing your Open Water dive course, making you a

Scuba Review….$129
The PADI Scuba Review Course
Has it been a while since you’ve been scuba
diving? Do you feel like your scuba skills and knowledge are a bit rusty? The
Scuba Review Tune-up is just the refresher you need. It reacquaints you with
diving so that you're back to feeling comfortable in the underwater world in
less than a day.

The Fun Part Brush up on your scuba knowledge and
skills. Improve your diving ability, and get your scuba gear ready for your next
scuba vacation or diving holiday.
What You Learn You go over scuba knowledge you
learned during your initial training. Then, practice fundamental skills in a
pool or a confined water area. You review:
- Safe diving practices
- Dive planning fundamentals
- Problem management
- Breathing air at depth
- Recreational diving and dive tables: basic knowledge
- Recreational diving and dive tables: dive planning
After you complete the knowledge assessment, you go
through the Confined Water Skills Preview. You review information about each
skill, why it’s important, points to remember when performing the skill and a
short video clip. Completing this section just before practicing is a great way
to refresh your knowledge of how each skill is performed
The Scuba Review course is particularly beneficial if
you: Are a PADI Open Water Diver course referral student who wants a
refresher prior to making your open water training dives Are a PADI Scuba Diver
who wants to upgrade to Open Water Diver and Just haven’t scuba dived in a while
and want to get climate again
The Scuba Gear You Use You use all the basic scuba
gear.
The Learning Materials You Need Quickly and
effectively review scuba diving fundamentals with PADI’s Scuba Tune-Up
Guidebook. Begin by answering a few questions related to dive safety, problem
management and dive planning. For example:
- What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?
- What is the maximum depth limit for all recreational diving?
- What are the signs and symptoms of decompression sickness?
- At 12meters/ 40 feet a diver runs out of air. Her buddy is more than 60
feet away, what should she do?
Correct answers will allow you to complete the book
quickly. For incorrect answers, you’ll read a brief explanation to help you
understand the concept.
Prerequisites To take Scuba Review, you must Have
a scuba diver certification or be enrolled in a scuba certification course Be at
least 10 years old
PADI Open Water Learn to Dive Course….$299-$399
Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open
Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your
ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure with PADI, the dive company that sets

that you are in safe hands but also will make sure that your dive course is a

Why PADI Open Water? As a certified PADI Open
Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world; you
have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you
already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver
certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may
apply to the open water program.
What do I need to start? Virtually anyone who is
in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI
Open Water Diver certification. You must be at least 15 years old to begin the
PADI Open Water Diver program. For those of you who are not above the age of 15
and would like to participate in the PADI Open Water Diver Program, then the
PADI Jr Open Water Diver program is available to you. If you are between12 and
15 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water
Diver program available.
What will I do? Throughout the course, you’ll
learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You
earn this rating by completing pool dives (confined) and knowledge
development sessions and by completing ocean dives (open water).
How long will it take? Our PADI Open Water courses
are run over 2 consecutive weekends, 4 days usually.
What will I need? An Australian dive medical
2 x passport photos
1 x Open Water Dive Manual ( all knowledge reviews to be completed by
the start of the course)
1 x Open Water DVD (on loan for the course duration)
Where can I go from here? Gosford Dive Services
offers all courses from Open Water through to Dive Professional so there is no
limit to your Dive training.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver…..$345
The Adventures in Diving program offers both the
Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete
any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification.
If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive
and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open

Why Padi Advanced Open Water? The Advanced course
can be done directly after your Open water course and will give you more
experience under the direct supervision of one of our experienced Instructors!
After your five dives, you will have discovered new areas of diving (like night
and deep diving!) and you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the
water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater
environment.
What do I need to start?
PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from
another organization)
Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
What will I do? This certification includes five
Adventure Dives, including the Deep Adventure Dive, the Underwater Navigator

Where can I go from here? PADI Advanced Open Water
Divers at least 15 years of age can enroll in PADI Wreck or Deep Diver Specialty
courses and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver course.
PADI Adventure Dives can also credit towards the corresponding PADI
